Christmas Ornaments

A great lady from the cricut messageboard told me how to make these.

I used the pledge floor care finish and just regular glitter I had.

I poured it in and rolled the ornament all around making sure
I coated the entire ornament on the inside.

Then dumped the glitter and just started rolling it around.

The completed ornament.

Another mixture of light blue and silver.

Pumpkin Fun

Enjoying the vinyl and pumpkins!  This was so much better and such less messier.
Just a few little pumpkins for the party we are having this weekend, just to use as centerpieces on the tables.  I tried my hand at the scary house on the Happy Hauntings cart...boy what a disaster that was.  So I just made some scarey faces.  The bottom 3 are different sides of the same pumpkins to give it something all the way around the pumpkins.

Birthday Weekend

I had a birthday cake to make this past weekend....first one to be a non-dinosaur.  It was a good friend of mines grandson's first birthday!  Her daughter-in-law wanted to have a "Curious George" cake.  I may not have a cricut cake, but was able to make this cake and was so proud of it. Hope you like it!!!
Thanks for Looking

Bank Block

It has been awhile since I have posted or been able to craft anything. A friend of mine at work had a baby in July and I have been wanting to make something for her.  Well I had all these blocks I stocked up on after Christmas when they were on clearance.  So I decorated one of the blocks for a bank.  That it is the great thing about these blocks, they came with different plugs with them.

I decided to do something different and ectch on them first to give them a frosted look. I taped the edges off to make it more squared off.

Here is what it looked like after doing the etching.
Here is the final block.  I used pink vinyl for her name and using the Cricut American Alphabet to cut everything out on the Cricut2.  I really liked these letters because they looked very elegant.  Then I used the printable vinyl on the imagine using the Nursery Tails Cartridge for the Butterfly Kisses layered and used silver vinyl behind it to make it stand out more.

Thanks for looking!!

Happy 4th!!!

June has came to an end already.  Where has the time gone, so hard to believe it is July 1st already.  I made a quick project with  my E2 and vinyl using the Cricut Essentials that came preloaded on the E2.  My mother-in-law loves lights.  So I had some blocks left over from christmas and decided to make a 4th of July Block for her and one of her friends.  I used red, white and blue vinyl cutting out the star in different sizes and using them all scattered on the block.  Filled them with white tissue paper and white lights.  It was daylight when I made these so I only took a picture of the blocks without the lights plugged in.  Enjoy your holiday and wishing all of you a safe and happy one with your friends and loved ones.

Grandparents and the Imagine

I just got the country carnival imagine cart from cricutmachine.com on  when it was on sale.  I was very excited about this cart, I had been bidding on it on eaby with no luck.  So I was so excited when I seen it on cricutmachine.com for sale!!!  I love sales!!!

This is a picture from 1943 of my grandparents. My grandmother passed away 12 years ago this June 17th my grandpa will be celebrating his 93rd bday in August. The beads I used are from my grandmothers stash of craft items I have and then I added some glitter and bling to it. I will probably add a little more stuff but had to show you so far what it looked like.  My grandmother was my very best friend there isn't a day goes by that I do not think about her.  I know she is in a better place but I miss her dearly.

Crafty MOM Contest

I have entered the Crafty Mom Contest on the Cricut page on Facebook.  I may have two boys but I try to do FUN things with them in the craft world.  Last year over the summer we went to Anna Maria Island, Florida to see my brother.  I had never seen where my brother lived and it was absolutely gorgeous!!  Now I know why he doesn't want to move back to Indiana...heck I wanted to move to Anna Maria Island after I seen where he lived.  Well back to the point of this post.  My oldest son and I got up a couple of mornings and went out to collect shells because my brother told me that is when the best shells are up on shore.  So we collected LOADS of shells.  I came home and made a few things with them, but the one I entered was this.

A Wind Chime, I cut vinyl and placed on some of the shells, painted on some of them then drilled holes in them and used fishing line along with some gold beads to give it some bling.  Please go vote for me if you have a facebook account.  I would love your VOTE!

Baby Shower Your Story Book

My cousins wife had a baby shower some time ago and I decided to make her a small little Your Story book from her baby shower pictures I took..  I did everything with the imagine.  Even the paper I colored and I used a textured paper in the imagine to give it more depth.  I even gave it some "bling."  I used the Nursery Tails cart for the Imagine.  I also layered the pages and I have to say I just love the scoring blade that came with my big YourStory cutter.  That is totally "WICKED DUDE"  thanks for looking and have WONDERful day.

EXCITEMENT!!!

I have to say... I have totally enjoyed the blog world and Facebook of Provo Craft and Jinger Adams.  So much that I entered the scrapbook contest to win a E2 that they are giving away 5 of them!!  (I posted early this week).

Not only did I enter the contest I had to send a note to Jinger thanking her and Provo Craft for offering such a great contest....plus I just had to send something.  She is a celebrity to me, even though I'm sure so many of you bloggers work with PC already or have met her.  I just will say I'm like a little kid.

On Jinger's page she is always such a breath of fresh air, she is great on HSN when I have seen her.  It is just so awesome that she takes the time to respond on people's post on her FB page.  Ok enough of my blabbing over it, I was just excited because she has always acknowledged all my comments and pictures.  That to me is a respectful, cherised and honorable person.  There needs to be more people in the world like that.

I will post my scrapbook layout pages next week that I submitted!!  I took pictures before they left, because I was rather proud of them!!  Good Luck to everyone who has entered!!!  I can't wait to see what everyone does. My DVR will be working overtime that day.  It would be so cool if one of my pages make it on TV!!!!!  HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE!!!!

First YourStory

A few weeks ago I ordered the YourStory Bundle of HSN.  That was the first time I actually seen what it could do.  I have to say I LOVE IT!! I so found my easy button on making little photo books.  This being my first project with it, I realized a few things I would do different.

I would not have my background paper or pictures be so large.  I would also score the papers I put in just to make the pages move a little more easier.  The adhesive is awesome in these covers!  I love this YourStory so much I purschased the YourStory Laminator from Cricutmachine.com last week, they had it on sale, plus used the 30% off they were offering.

I seen on someone else's blog of using it with the kids pictures.  So I'm going to use it with my kids school work.  What a great way to store things I LOVE IT!!!

All my PC stuff I have enjoyed so much!!!  Below are a few of the pages from my book.

Items Used: Imagine, JT Imagine Cart, TinkerBell & Friends,
Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons and the  Sentimentals Cart.

This is my best friends since 8th grade.

Death and Birthday

I am sorry I have not posted anything this past week.  We experienced a death in the family, my husbands grandfather passed away.  I am honored to been able to know him the past 15 years.  He was an awesome man.  He lived a long life, he passsed away at 95.  Three years ago in Feb. his wife passed away, they were married 72 years.  Amazing couple.  Many of us hope to live until we are 72, and they shared their life together for 72 years.  He will be missed.

The Birthday is mine, even though it doesn't seem like much to celebrate this weekend of such sadness.  But my husband did get me the Your Story from HSN.  He made me smile.  I am happy to have a loving husband, best friend and father all rolled up in one man.  Life is short, enjoy every moment with all  your loved ones and friends.  Remember you never know when it will be the last, so always respect and love those people dear to you.

BIG UPDATE IS HERE!!!

The big IMAGINE and GYPSY update is here.  It was posted yesterday on the PC messageboard, but I didn't realize it till late last night.  SO needless to say I was so excited I updated my gypsy then started on the imagine.  The updates are awesome for they gypsy.  But by the time I got the Imagine done, it was time for bed for me, now I'm at work.  I've only been able to play with the gypsy for a small amount of time and have not been able to link my Imagine carts to the gypsy yet.  That is my plan tonight...LINK and start playing even more with the Imagine and gypsy.  Hopefully I'll be able to post something NEW tomorrow for everyone!!

Thanks for following me and sorry for the delay in posting.

IMAGINE Winter Wonderland

As I am sure everyone has had their fill of the snow, freezing rain, sleet, snow and more snow this year.  I bet we all have some awesome pictures we have taken of all that lovely snow.  So I thought I would make a layout for the pictures I know I have taken....espeically the Big Blizzard of 2011  NOT!!!

I used the Imagine Snow Angel Cart for the blue snowflake paper and the background page.  I used the Winter Wonderland words from Winter Frolic and used the same snowflake paper fill from the Snow Angel Cart. The stars and silver snowflakes are from Creative Memories.  I just love this imagine machine, there are so many possibilities!!!  THANKS PC!!
